I am not sure what the mechanism for deciding what alien tech cubes are awarded for repelling alien fleets. I understand that with truly random assignments, you will get duplications but I think something is off on the distribution, or there are factors that influence what you get as far as particular cubes.
Right now, I have the option to develop the t4 and t5 sensitive beam, but I never got a t3 sensitive beam cube, so I can't work on the later tech versions due to the previous tech requirements. That is frustrating.
I have the t3 piercing cannon, and t4 piercing cannon, and I have disassembled at least three of the t4 cubes, and I still have 10 t4 piercing cannon cubes in my inventory. TEN extra. That's waaaaaay off if it's supposed to be randomly awarded.
I also never found a t3 death fighter cube, and have 4 t4 death fighter cubes sitting in my inventory.
Also, 4 missile extension cubes, two cannon extension cubes, two cannon relay device cubes, and one each of several others, and that doesn't count the single cubes I did develop. Kinda at a loss here but I am frustrated.
If the cube assignment is truly random, I should NOT have ten of any one cube in my inventory at this point. If the awards are not random, could you all put in logic to help ensure that you are not awarded cubes for technologies you can't develop? Like, if I don't have a t3 cube, stop giving me t4 cubes that I can't use because I can't develop a t3 level yet.... Award me a t3.... This is some pretty basic programming logic...
